Transcription: Most modern flush toilets, or WCs, operate a ball float flush system. Pushing the handle opens a valve that allows water in the cistern to flush through the pan. As the water level in the cistern falls, the ball valve also drops, operating a second valve which brings water from the mains into the cistern until the rising ball float cuts off the flow.
